Who is involved

Stations collective

Stations collective is a loose combo of artists who emerge from the Hamilton hinterland to witness the Holy spirit blowing in the green paddocks. It is not a communist group inspired by the writings of Mao Tse Tung. But they do share meals, paint brushes and the zeitgeist of the resurrection. They paint because the big creator paints. They read the scripture of the Passion passionately.

There is no formal membership. Artists are not paid for their work – all artists volunteer out of their own pocket/palette. Some work is sold after the exhibition. Some are confident butterfly artists whom have been seen in galleries and exhibitions, and some are shy cocooned caterpillar embryos yet to emerge. The collective collects and retires artists in a fluid motion.

All artists have some affinity with the Jesus narrative. For most, the story is lifeblood.

Incedo and Stations collective are not related, but they do hang out together.

Incedo

incedo is kind of organized Christianity. But not really. We are more interested in organized community. Incedo is a faith community of Hamiltonians who can see the river for the bridges. Who, yes, agree a shrine of Riff Raff, homage to the creator of Rocky Horror is fine and necessary in Victoria street but we like more the Christ. Yes V8’s will pleasure and incinerate our ears but we like more the challenge to hear the voice of the words of Him who tames storms and storms the tame. And we are tryers. We try to be like the Jesus character reflected in the books written by non – Booker prize winners – Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.

Incedo is not connected to any denomination, branch, or cult.
